Yep...AFC teams realized Wilson wouldn't throw in the middle due to his height...as we pointed out well before he even started a game there.

It played out exactly as we said....and led to Payton dumping him while still on the payroll. SP lives off the short game...which is why Michael Thomas thrived..

Nix threw something like 350+ passes out of 470 that traveled 5 air yards or less last year...that's a crazy stat. It's Alex Smith on steroids...

It wont take long for NFL DC's to force him out of his comfort zone...the question is if he can adapt...Payton had Brees to facilitate his scheme. It took Brees, Thomas and Kamara to make it work...with varied results.

1st throw - should've been picked
2 - miss/incomplete
3 - solid throw but WR was wide open due to broken coverage
4 - short completion to open man
5 - pretty good ball placement but incomplete
6 - rockets it at a back a few yds to his left; would have been annihilated if he caught it
7 - drops back like he's going downfield, checks down for 5 yds
8 - incomplete; bailed out by PI
9 - short toss to open receiver
10 - short, routine TD throw; quick release
11 - takes what the defense gives for a short completion
12 - checkdown to a wide open TE
13 - another short toss to a wide open Krull
14 - way behind the receiver; incomplete
15 - another short completion
16 - long ball incomplete; bailed out by PI again
17 - another checkdown
18 - awful miscommunication; throws it where only the DB can make a play; almost picked
19 - short completion to a TE
20 - screen pass
21 - completes down the sideline to a gaping wide open RB
22 - another short toss for short gain
23 - another short completion

Vs the Colts' backups.

Why are we supposed to be floored again?

Alex Smith would be their best QB since Fivehead.

Really? 2017 was GBs rookie season (Lynch’s last season) and Lynch played in two games, at Thanksgiving and end of season.
