What do you collect?

I collect:

1. world globes (small collection, because I'm trying to limit myself to one per decade for space purposes)
2. t-shirts from foreign countries, but only if I go to the country
3. refrigerator magnets from any place I travel

I'm starting a fledgling pen collection, too, but only have a few. Pens are cool. I keep threatening to start a salt and pepper shaker collection because they're cheap and there are a lot of fun and creative ones out there, but my wife is wary that they'll take up too much room.

I’ve mentioned that I collect wine. Haven’t been keeping up with my info via the Cellar Tracker app. So I had a bunch of wine that I had consumed but hadn’t removed from my online cellar info. And I had a lot of wine I hadn’t put into the racks. One issue with living up here is that many companies keep an eye on weather and don’t ship when it’s too hot or cold. So for several months a year, some companies will just store the wine. I realized I had about 3 cases of wine on hold with one company so I had it sent up here. I had a couple of other companies also send the wine on hold. All told, it took me about 3 hours today to get everything caught up. It’s like doing an inventory for a retail establishment. But I have 240 bottles of wine. Time to get another wine rack because I’ve outgrown what I do have.

I also need some more ‘Wednesday night wines’. Those are every day, non-complicated wines that won’t benefit a great deal from aging. There are worse hobbies I suppose but I do need to get some insurance for my wine I think.

That’s awesome. I thought my 30+ was too much (had more but sold a lot of them). Current collection are mostly Swiss… Rolex, Omega, a few Tags, with a few G-Shocks and a Panerai Carbotech.

New-bass

It's a Pfretzschner aluminum upright bass. They were only made from about '32-'37, once WWII kicked up they needed the aluminum for other things. So, I'll now be gigging with this rare, vintage beauty.
That's incredible.
