I don't think he hinders the development of Rice at all, because Rice would be starting over him, and he'd only fill in when Rice needs a breather. It also helps us in case Rice gets suspended.

I don't think it hinders Brown at all, because Brown would be starting over him and they are used differently.

He might take time away from Watson, which, okay, whatever.
Totally agree with all of this. JJSS just being on the field in 3rd/4th down "moving the chains" type situations gives Mahomes another reliable option to pair with Kelce that we didn't have last season. Rice came on in that role, but you can never have enough reliable options in those situations.

If it looks like this,

WR: Brown
WR: Worthy
WR: Rice
TE: Kelce
RB: Pacheco

Who are you pulling off?

Give me those guys all day every day. You want him as injury insurance? My guess is he'll be available.

You need more short pressure relief routes? I like Gray and maybe Wiley more.

You need more intermediate routes? I actually like Hollywood in that role. Probably Gray and Wiley more. And besides, JJSS may not be that dude anymore.

As long as Skyy and maybe Toney aren't in the picture, let's roll.

We do NOT need him. If he was healthy he wouldn't be available. If you can't run it doesn't matter what you have done in the past.

And frankly, you aren't growing new cartilage.

You know how many guys have been impactful for Mahomes in winning a ring?

Eric Fisher
Mitch Schwartz
Dan Sorensen
Honey Badger
Sammy Watkins
Bashaud Breeland

Doesn't mean we should bring them back. If a guy is cooked, he's cooked.

None of them are 27 years old who could be gotten for a vet min.

Defenses are gonna play deep with Worthy and Brown out there. So in reality Juju would have even more space to operate than he had before.

JuJu over the course of a season? yeah no bueno. Given time to rest and be as healthy as possible he would be extremely useful in the playoffs or end of the year. And he's sooo cheap. I just don't see a downside. Low risk, high reward....and we are a team that doesn't even need him for the regular season. Seems like a player taylor made for us.

I'd also argue that Juju was a leader in that locker room. He hyped up the team and everyone respected him. Brett brought back Hardman twice who has never had the same impact as Juju so why not bring back Juju? If he really would accept a vet min it's an easy decision to make.

We should bring in Ed Podolak. For the locker room, do you know what he did for the team? We should kick the tires if vet minimum. Everyone respected him.
