LeBron James scores the last five points -- including this key layup -- for Team USA to get up by two possessions with less than a minute left. He has 20 points on 8-for-11 shooting. Not surprising who is carrying Team USA LeBron James was born the same year the Soviet Union boycotted the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. He made his Olympic debut two decades ago in Athens. And somehow, as against South Sudan, the USA is still dependent on James to win. What an amazing career. -- Kevin Pelton, NBA insider To quote Anthony Edwards after that South Sudan game, the reason the Americans were able to pull away from Germany is simple: "LeBron James." -- Andrew Lopez, NBA insider https://www.espn.com/olympics/story/...lympics-tuneup The GOAT and an American Hero. |

Their argument when he first got into the league was yeah he was quadruple teamed so he threw it to a wide open shooter who missed. Jordan would have shot it (and probably missed) as it was a good thing.
