Somehow, incredibly, Rees Zammit is faster.
I haven’t followed this convo, but are you saying that LRZ is faster than Achane? Because there’s, like, zero chance that’s the case.

Not sure where this is coming from?

He'd be the tallest RB we had in a long time.

He did say he was running 4.2 40's in practice.

LRZ is a great athlete in a straight line, but people are going to need to be patient and maybe keep expectations low. As a returner I could absolutely see him working well and early. He's good under a high ball in rugby so rhe skillset fits.

As a RB he's not built to block and obviously has no experience. I think it'll be a tough ask. I honestly think he might have more of a chance as a WR with a limited route tree and see how it goes. Again, not sure he has the agility and lateral quickness but if you're just asking him to go...it'll work imo.

It's 100% true apparently

Quote:
On the gridiron, Achane was clocked at 22.2 mph in 2021 on a kick return for a touchdown. Achane's speed on that kick return is faster than any NFL player's top speed during the 2022 regular season. He's one of the select few players than when someone says "he has track speed" legitimately does

Quote:
It has been reported that Rees-Zammit also reached a top speed of 24.2 mph during a rugby match, which eclipses the top speed in the NFL last season.

Oh lol

That doesn’t mean he’s faster than Achane. 24.2 would be faster than any speed ever recorded by NextGen in the NFL, even faster than any time Tyreek has posted.

Surely you don’t believe LRZ is the fastest player in the league..?

I know it's faster than anyone in the NFL has ran. Now, personally I don't know how much I trust those MPH readings because they do seem wild.

But on the one hand you have "this can't be true" and on the other hand you have all this evidence of it being true.

If he is NOT the fastest guy in the NFL, he is damn close. And clearly way faster than his 40 time which was a debacle apparently.

We have three guys who can run sub 4.3 40s.

Right, which almost makes me feel better.

It's like staring at a UFO or something, somebody give me a plausible reason for what I'm seeing.

Cuz like no way this 6-3 210 white guy is faster than Tyreek ****ing Hill right

Meant to respond to this earlier.

You are so right. He looks like a 7th grader. If he had played football his whole life that would have been coached out of him. Take decisive, efficient cuts.

The good news is that can be learned, even if it takes a couple years. Probably part of why Mahomes and Reid say things like he's come really far but has a long way to go still.

But the promise of his size, speed and ability to catch makes me think you keep him around and see what happens.
