What are your Prime Day purchases?

It is the offseason. I am just curious what everyone is wanting or getting from Amazon since today and tomorrow are Prime Days where members get an extra discount.

Wow. Good luck. . This could turn into a real PITA real quick.

I know generally where it is because I drew a map over a land survey when they were installed, and I've tracked the wire up to a tee point. I'll be dealing with maybe a 5x5 area, so I should be alright. I'm pretty confident I can find the others too.

If I get desperate enough I'll try the dowsing rod thing.

I have a doorbell story from this past week.

My doorbell broke a while back, and it made me sad. It was a recordable doorbell, so I could put different song clips on it. I'd installed it back when I remodeled my kitchen in 2007, so it had a long life.

I wanted another recordable doorbell, and my wife didn't want a video doorbell, and I couldn't find anything at all. Everything these days is either a video doorbell or it's a basic ding-dong doorbell.

Eventually I gave up and started looking for vintage doorbells, because I thought it would be cool to match up the doorbell with the past era of the house. I was talking via email to a guy who sells refurbished vintage doorbells, and I mentioned my sadness about not finding a recordable one.

He emailed back and said, "I see one on ebay" and sent me the link. It was the exact same model that I own, new in the box from 17 years ago. Exactly the same.

So I bought a brand-new 17 year-old doorbell and I'll just replace the broken one verbatim.

I'm kind of shocked that I can't find a new version, though. With my old one (and now my new one), I have to climb up a stepladder balancing a laptop on one hand because it has to be hard-wired via a 12-inch wire to upload songs. A little wifi would be nice.

Just got a corner shelf that I already had in the cart. As it was discounted for Prime Day I figured now was the best time to get it.

I was thinking about grabbing a laptop or something but not seeing anything that interests me. I'd at least want it to run a game or something.
