I don't know why anyone is entertaining the Chargers trading Herbert thing (and I've seen it discussed multiple places). Even if it wasn't obviously stupid it's essentially impossible. The Chargers would take a massive dead cap hit that would force them to cut half the team. Not to mention Herbert has a full no-trade clause.

Let's say we attempt to trade up for a WR like Thomas Jr if he falls into the 20s, aren't we just going to get played by other teams who will get on the phone to a desperate Buffalo and tell them that they'll do basically the same deal with them but for their 28th pick instead of our 32nd pick?
