Y'all want to ride with Smith for another year or give Morris a chance? Because there's probably several good to decent prospects who likely will be there when the Chiefs pick.

As far as I know, Andy has never draft an OT that doesn't meet them.
Morgan has huge mitts (almost 11") and by all accounts once he gets a hold of his man its a vice grip. To me that by far offsets the slightly less than desirable arm length, especially coupled with his athletic traits.

The worst case scenario in my opinion is he gives you competent LT play, if you get a better option, you just plug him into LG when Thuney leaves or RG if you decide not to hang onto Trey.

Good point about his hands. Again, I'm personally good with it.

But we can't just handwave that Andy hasn't ever drafted an OT that doesn't meet the arm length requirement.

I'd rather have a better prospect with slightly shorter arms than a long armed unathletic dude.

But staylor brings up a good point here in that he may not hit the baseline they like in prospects.

I don't disagree at all. Hopefully Andy/Veach are also willing to sacrifice some arm length for athleticism and big hands. Just hard to know whether that's the case until they draft somebody that fits the bill.

There are always outliers. Spags had a type of DE and then drafted BJ Thompson. Yeah, that was in the 5th round and not the 1st...but it still happened.

We drafted long arm DL and DB’s until 2022 when we drafted McDuffie and Karlaftis.

Worked out pretty good I’d say

Sure, which is why I'm not writing him off as a possibility. But just like with McDuffie, that's Spags, not Andy.

Just hard to ignore that Andy's never drafted an OT short arms. That's a long time.

Yup, but again, 2 guys on the defensive side of the ball.

All that tells me for sure is that Spags might be a little more open to outliers than Andy.

Andy Reid has far to long of a history suggesting what type of OT's he wants, trying to say it doesn't matter is a fools errand when there's decades of history.

I've started playing around with the mock draft simulators, and unless a Brian Thomas-type receiver is available, those guys seem to often be available and a logical choice.

Do you mean Fisher?

He's caught my attention recently. I like him along with Amegadije and Patrick Paul on day 2.

Was considering him for my 2nd round Ravens pick. Guy is young too, definite room for growth. Reckon he's there for us st 64.
