I'm sure this will piss people off but Kelces ad lib lateral was not a good idea. Mahomes said in his Monday weekly interview that the play did NOT call for that and he did that on his own. Now we know Kelce used to be a QB so physically I have faith that he can make the throw BUT

2) Hes throwing A LIVE BALL to Toney who has hands of stone. There is no guarantee he catches it. He could have just as easily bobbled it and Buffalo picks it up.
3) Its not worth the risk reward because even if we dont score a TD we have a fresh set of downs with 1:17 left in the game and 1st down at the 16 yard line. We can use a little more clock to ensure Buffalo doesn't get the ball. If we score there is no guarantees Buffalo doesn't score. Yes all things considered you would rather still have the certainty of scoring but not at the expense of a chance to turn the ball over on a risky play.

First thing Creed did when getting in his stance is grab the ball and pull it back a foot. He does this damn near every play! The question then is the ball the LOS or does the LOS remain at the sideline sticks?
