For the record... Creed was...

Offsides first. Look at the ball to his helmet...

That is why Toney looked to the ref to see if he was okay.

1) It was millisecond from being tipped. He BARELY got it around the defender who had his hands up
2) Hes throwing A LIVE BALL to Toney who has hands of stone. There is no guarantee he catches it. He could have just as easily bobbled it and Buffalo picks it up.
3) Its not worth the risk reward because even if we dont score a TD we have a fresh set of downs with 1:17 left in the game and 1st down at the 16 yard line. We can use a little more clock to ensure Buffalo doesn't get the ball. If we score there is no guarantees Buffalo doesn't score. Yes all things considered you would rather still have the certainty of scoring but not at the expense of a chance to turn the ball over on a risky play.
kelce obviously trusts toney more than mahomes

sorry, couldn't help myself

and i disagree...

that was the perfect play at the perfect time for that perfect play. if it were tipped, toney was in perfect position to recover it

If Toney was checking to see if he was onside he didn't keep looking at the ref to see the answer. More likely he was signaling that he was on the end of the line.

First thing Creed did when getting in his stance is grab the ball and pull it back a foot. He does this damn near every play! The question then is the ball the LOS or does the LOS remain at the sideline sticks?

A top 10 most aesthetically beautiful play I've ever seen in my time watching Chiefs football and BWillie said it wasn't a good idea. All because of some bullshit risk

It's risky for Mahomes to scramble on a bad ankle and get walloped in the Super Bowl, either. Or the AFCC.

It's risky for Reid to let Chad Henne throw on 4th and 2 to put the game away against the Browns

It's risky for Spags to run some of these exotic blitzes that he does

It's risky to let BWillie keep posting...

This is the highest level of sports performance. Almost every successful play is a millisecond away from being ruined.
