That's a great deal for Seattle.
Or trade a 3rd, Ragland and Attouchu for Clowney right now and then get a 3rd rd comp after this season

That'd be neat and all, but that's 16 million of cap space we could've rolled over and used to sign our players gone for a rental.

You're speaking in hindsight. At the time we done the Clark deal there was no way the Texans were accepting that deal, none at all. The latter it dragged out the more their hand was forced and Seattle have benefited. Difference is though we've locked down Clark for years, Seattle haven't and could well lose him when it's all said and down.

Maybe

Perhaps it would have taken a little more. Either way, I wonder if we could have gotten something done where we saved our first.

We would not have to. We do have Ward, Fuller, Breeland, Wade, Fenton and if need be we could use Mathieu.
I think we probably would but we don't have to trade for someone.

Clowney was never coming here for any price. Texans think they are going to the Super Bowl with DeShaun Watson. They would never have done this shit trade with the team they view as one of their biggest competitors for the crown.
