Nice post Rain Man... another point worth discussing, there are 7 refs and 22 players on the field. Offenses and defenses run much more complex schemes than before. Rules have growing nuances to them.
https://operations.nfl.com/the-offic...ies-positions/ I think it is increasingly difficult for those 7 guys to pay attention and see everything in this complex, fast paced game. The NFL certainly needs to take greater advantage of technology, willingly admit that there are things the human eye misses and find a way to leverage things like replay better in every play. Hell, in 10 years there will be multiple IOT devices in the game balls, on the sidelines, in the uniforms with the technological ability to sense and see everything in real-time. Maybe it won't take that long... you'll have the humans relaying what they are told from AI. |

In the NFL, its a "star" thing, not small market vs. big market. As I said, its star driven, not big city market driven. We have Mahomes so we are going to get the breaks in the next 10 years, not because he plays for the Chiefs. All sports are "star" driven in 2018. This isn't a NFL alone issue either. If Brady/Bellicheck had been in Clevland, they would have won multiple Super Bowls in that city. |

There's a part of me that wants KC to win the SB this year just to shut a number of you up, but somehow... that would be pointed to as a buyoff for the next 20 years. The rattle thrown into the crib to satisfy the masses.

There would have been multiple SBs in Baltimore, because Modell was literally told that he won't win a SB in Cleveland and was offered a new stadium and tax incentives to move the team. But since Belichick was the sacrificial lamb in that move, either way, in your scenario the multiple SBs are in Baltimore. |

Is there a youtube clip? I didn't watch the game closely... would love to see the blatant missed false starts.

But of COURSE a Donk fan doesn't want to believe the NFL is rigged - every single SB you've ever 'won' has been tainted, all the way from that TD in Arrowhead that got called "incomplete" in January 1998 and basically caused the resinstitution of replay all the way to Peyton's walk off retirement gift when Cam Newton decided he really didn't want to recover his own fumble... Yeah, I may wish to have strong cognitive dissonance with that going on, too... But guess what!? The NFL uses my team for a cum rag at an orgy, so I don't have any rose-colored blinders for that shit. I've got crusty cum-rag blinders, totally different view. Oh, **** Donk forever. |

THE GUY WAS MOVING BEFORE THE BALL WAS SNAPPED. Offensive schemes haven't evolved to the point where it's hard to see THAT THE EXCUSES THAT PEOPLE WILL MAKE TO JUSTIFY THE BLATANT MANIPULATION IS STUNNING. You are a grown, free-thinking adult. Quit trying to justify why a PROFESSIONAL official would repeatedly blow a call that a volunteer flag football official can make. Just stop. It's not helping your case. |

Check it out, watch that RT false start AT LEAST 6 times that weren't called. Minimum. WATCH THE REF WINK AT JARED GOFF on the tipped pass that they tried to call DPI - it's when Reid goes apeshit on the refs. Watch the ref on the right as he turns away from Reid. Check out Donkeykong Suh PUNCH Mahomes in the back of the head at the end of a scramble. All egregious AND SUSPICIOUS no-calls by themselves. Taken together, and in context with everything happening in LA, both in the NFL and in real-life...then you're just a SUCKER if you think it's all on the up-and-up. This world is a cold, hard ****ed-up place. Everything you've ever been told is a ****ing lie. |

Someone posting opinions without actually reading the thread, or seeing the evidence reminds me of the casual fan I ran into yesterday. She was wearing a Chiefs jacket and wanted to be part of a conversation I was having. She interrupted by saying "but he broke his ankle." We decided she was talking about Alex Smith's leg and knew someone connected with the Chiefs had broken a bone. |
