My thought exactly. Plus he gives some protection in the future in case things aren't worked out with Poe (though I bet they will be). He seems as sure a bet as anyone else in the second round and he won't need microfracture surgery.

Additional plus: I love his attitude and personality -- seems like the kind of guy who will be eager to learn and willing to lead.

Dont get your hopes up.

The talent is there but the coaching is still lacking.

Remember, they still have a defensive coordinator who hasn't got a clue on how to make adjustments.

It's obvious the Chiefs feel that defensive injuries derailed them in the playoffs, so the plan remains:

1) Build monster defense

2) Continue to play "2.2, slide on through"-offense.

3) Hope it all pans out.
