50 Beers to Try Before You Die
Thought the beer snobs here might like this article (and probably critique the hell out of it).
http://www.wisdeo.com/articles/view_post/2984 (CBS) You've heard of "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"? How about 50 to try before you die?!
Spoiler!

Iowa still carries their stuff pretty regularly though. |

If not, at least I've tried it and can keep an eye out when I travel. And drinks/food are an area where I actually agree with the "better to have loved and lost..." adage. |

If you get up to Iowa, check out some of the PeaceTree stuff. I really like it. I grew up with the owners of that place and they've really come on the scene strong. I don't know of any specific plans but I wouldn't be shocked to see them in Missouri in the next couple years.

I got this from a friend that didn't know what he had. Gave him a bunch of solid, but easier to find, stouts in return.
I haven't seen any of the current year's in KC this year or the last few years either. Shoot, I have friends from Chicago that have been asking if it's down here yet because they couldn't find it there. It's a bit puzzling to see the scarceness, considering they're supposed to be producing 5x the amount that they've been brewing yearly. |

I'm not eve a stout drinker but the Oak Aged Imperial Stout Yeti from Great Divide I had last night was silly.
I'm generally a fan of everything from Avery but had their Witbier and their Brown Ale last night. Neither was horrible and both were drinkable but neither made me want another. Pretty disappointing overall. Wish I had started with the Yeti. |

Agreed - that brew is delicious. If you liked that one, might as well seek out the Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti, and the Espresso Oak Aged Yeti - both also quite delicious...
