Signing a guy like Williams means that they don’t have to spend a 4th rounder in the draft this year.

Also, you’re seriously discounting the fact that a UDFA running back would not only need to learn Reid’s deep playbook but would need to excel in Pass Pro, too, which is highly unlikely for a late pick or UDFA.

Here is the player profile on this guy.

Nothing stands out about him that I can see, plus he is hurt. Not sure why we would drop 1.5 million on him, when a guy off the streets would have been just as good a placeholder?
The smart GMs work the list bottom up.

I'm shocked another Chiefs player with a knee injury isn't going to be ready.

Remember when we used to dream that the Chiefs would give like 20% of their salary to Corey Dillon but instead got Priest Holmes for like five bucks

A PCL tear is way more serious than an ACL tear and as I’ve said since last year, it’s a stretch to believe he’ll be 100% by late July.

I don’t understand why people on CP believe it only takes 9 months to recover from serious ligament tears.

It’s baffling to me.

I was BEYOND furious when we didn’t get Dillon. I thought it was our best chance to get out of RBBC hell.
