They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

They aren't an all time great offense. If that's your expectation, well, that's a you problem.
To play devil's advocate (cause I'm on your side for most of this discussion) we haven't had to face a supposedly dominant defense yet this season, when last year we ripped faces off the likes of the Bucs, Eagles, and the 49ers. Our schedule has been a bit cushy so far.

And they won a championship.

This isn't the 2018/2019 Chiefs offense but fellas it doesn't need to be. Teams evolve and GREAT teams evolve in ways where they are still finding ways to win ballgames.

Most teams don't look functionally similar to a team that came 3 years before it, let along 4 or 5. And this one shouldn't be expected to either.

Would I like us to be a 32 pt/gm team? Yeah - but that just wasn't ever realistic. We had to make decisions with the roster as the team evolved. Most of 'em have been pretty damn good ones.
Chiefs saw how dynasties are made and made a conscious decision to invest in OL and defense.

It was the right decision.

We're still gonna be top 10 on offense by the end of this season. And that's just fine.

Never said it was, but Watson isn't going to fill that role. Hardman couldn't fill that role otherwise they never sign MVS.

Interesting that people don't think Watson is a deep threat. That's all he's ever been here.

We've become so accustomed to phenomenal offensive play, we don't even recognize good anymore. The offense is good. They move the ball, red zone scoring is solid. It's the NFL. Teams don't just score every time they touch the ball in a normal game. Has the offense taken a step back from last year. Sure. But they're not a bad offense at all.

Seems like an ideal situation.
I wonder if they feel he could have come back earlier from injury last year. It was weird that they didn't even contact him about resigning, or to tell him they weren't resigning him.
