Doctor was really concerned with my plunging O2 levels during the episodes as they put a lot of stress on my heart. My resting heart rate was in the 55 range and skyrocket to 115 during the peak of my stoppages.

What bewilders me is that you really didn't know. You suspected though.

You'll probably lose a shit-ton of weight after you get your machine. The amount of cortisol coursing through your system due to those episodes is pretty mind-boggling.

I was hoping for a weight loss. I didn't materialize Yep, cortisol is not helpful in this instance. "Fight v Flight"

I use a little lanolin cream around the edge of my nostrils and that keeps the nasal pillows from irritating them. I get the nipple cream from Walmart (pause here for the jokes). A tube lasts about six months. It really makes a difference.

Walmart recently started selling a generic version that's about $3 cheaper but I don't care for it. It's thicker and stickier and has a more chemical smell.

Good to know! I went with the large pillows even though the medium fit better. The large don't go up as far. I also loosened the strap so they don't get shoved up my nose as much.

And, as a final thought, using a CPap will take some time to adjust to as you sleep. The body is malleable over time.

I quit breathing for 119 times during an 8 hours of sleep during the test. Follow up with Cpap 0 events.

So last night was the first night on my Resmed 11 CPAP machine. Have a full face mask and no issues there.

Woke up this morning and it appears I need to tighten the mask as the indicator says too much leakage.

I connected the machine and set everything up yesterday morning at the healthcare office with the tech including the Bluetooth to the MyAir app.

Everything is connected and appears good yet this morning on my app, it says last night's data is not available yet.

I want to make sure I am doing everything needed and not go days without the app functioning right. I was able to download the raw data and it came to my email address in raw data form.

Does the app need to be open and next to the machine to send data?

I saw a security code to connect to Bluetooth but it seems it connected without it.

I woke up, took off the mask and turned off the machine.

Is that the SOP ?

Any real advice appreciated.

My first night never loaded to MyAir. All the others have though. Tighten that mask. It took a few nights to get the tightness optimized so that it didn't leak as I switch between side and back sleeping throughout the night.

I dont think you need to have the app open... I think the app will pull the data off the flash memory of the machine as needed. But double check this.

They make these soft cloth liners to go in your mask for a better seal to your face. I think they're great, might be worth a try.

They do not use the sd card anymore. They have cellular modems in them that they send the data over.

My data just made it to the app for the first night. Once I get the mask to be a better fit, my score should go up and things get better.

Can't believe how excited I was to get this.

I just ordered my first CPAP setup. I'm a mouth breather that sleeps all over the place. So, I opted for the Res Med 10 with the F20 airtouch full face mask.

I have that. I tried the nose things, but my mouth kept opening up. I had to tape my mouth shut. (insert joke here)

That's my setup. I have only gotten tangled up once so far.

I have the Res Med 11 with the Vitera full face mask from Fisher Paykal.

I made it a little tighter for tonight. Hopefully the leakage will improve. Comfort is fine.

I was worried about my claustrophobia but since I control the mask, no issues.

There should be a leakage test you can run.
