Man, evicting homeless people has to be an awful part of being a cop. I just want everybody involved to forget they saw anything and let her keep living there. Hope we get a follow up story at some point that the Roof Ninja is doing okay.

Old timers will not be surprised but I lived in a abandoned home in ATL for 2 years before they bulldozed it. Electricity was on the whole time.Yes, I was homeless due to my addictions. Was around 2007 but people can and do change once rock-bottom. Not proud of that fact but real. Crazy now I own a home and appreciate it.

About 5 years ago I had an appointment at an office in Mesa. Come to found out that a homeless guy was living on the roof of this low rise commercial building for nearly 2 years. He even hoisted his bike up on a rope. He told the cops he felt safe because living on the streets had too many thieves and he would be robbed or abused for drugs or money. The only reason he got caught was the Heat Pump stopped working and the emergency repair team came overnight to fix and they found him, his bike, extension cord, hot plate and some groceries and clothing.
Just so many people these days in dire straights. |
