Chiefs the only team......
......to have five Hall of Famers on their defense all there together.
When the Chiefs played in the first SB they had future Hall of Famers..... Emmitt Thomas Buck Buchanon Bobby Bell Willie Laneir Johnny Robinson .....on the defense. Those great 60's Packers teams had four.... Willie Davis Ray Nitzche Willie Wood Herb Adderley That great Steel Curtain D in the 70's for the Steelers Mean Joe Green Jack Lambert Jack Ham Mel Blount I can't think of any other defense that rivals those when it comes to HOFers on that D together. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Remember the movie M*A*S*H? Remember the football game? Well that speedy little guy running all over the place.....Chiefs Nolan "Super Gnat" Smith, he was a 9.4 sprinter while at Tennessee State. What franchise can compare to the Chiefs running backs? A Tank, a Truck, a Priest, a Nigerian Nightmare, two Heisman winners, a Count, a Podolak. What would the single most important play be in Texans/Chief history? How about SB IV when WR Otis Taylor gets by the Vikes Herschel McBee to score the TD that pretty much put the Vikes away. This is a little hard to believe. 1960 Fleer #73 Abner Haynes RC Rookie GAI 9 MINT $371.25 $375.00 I have that card, but, noway I could let it go. https://www.google.com/search?q=abne...w=1173&bih=827 Last edited by Ubeja Vontell; 09-04-2019 at 01:34 AM.. |

Buck Buchanan was also prominently on screen in the M*A*S*H movie, though he had no speaking role. And Fred Williamson was the star running back with a speaking role.

This is the third time I have been somebody.
Look.....I'm first and foremost a track guy, actually moderated the world famous SUB10 Messageboard, THE best sprint talk forum on the internet. Also a football fan, one of my pet interests is tracksters/footballers. I have it 100% covered. The Chiefs my fav team, so I went looking for a place to talk some Chiefs football, I have never been here before about a week ago, ok? A bit of a pro football history buff. How many of those I'm suppose to be, could have done this? All Time Chiefs 100m lane 1.Ken Thomas SJS 10.0m 2.Joe Delaney NWLa 9.4 3.Jamaal Charles Texas 10.18 4.Tyreek Hill Okla St 10.19....HS, his 20.14 HS 200m the second fastest in history at that time. 5.Sammie Parker Oregon 10.17 6.Eddie Kennison NFL Fastest Man 7.Warren McVea Houston 9.5 8.Stone Johnson Grambling 9.3 WR 20.5 200m Olympian |

It broke several of us fans, too. It was the last game at old Muni, on Christmas Day, and the game was blacked out locally. I remember going over to one of my dad's neighbors to watch it. He had a 30' amplified rotating antenna. We kept having to rotate the thing because we kept losing the signal from Pittsburg, Ks and would have to tune in to some station in Nebraska. When we'd lose that signal, back to Pittsburg. I remember the team just standing on the field for several minutes after the game. I don't know if it was shock or just plain exhaustion, but they never were the same again.
