SNES had Turtles in Time and Sega had Hyperstone Heist. Both great but Turtles in Time has the edge for me. SNES had Super Castlevania IV and Genesis had Castlevania Bloodlines. Both great but the edge goes to Super CV IV for me.

Secret of Mana essentially melted permanently into my SNES after I received it Christmas 1993.
Great game, but it had a flaw. The magic "rock slide" allowed me to stack attacks against bosses and made them simple to beat. |

If the Neo Geo was released today, inflation adjusted it would cost $1200, and the games roughly $400.

The Super Nintendo was the best video game system and held court over the best age for gaming. Period.

I beat that game so many times using the 30 life code that eventually I didn't need to use it. Never did achieve a flawless run. Dying only once was the best I could do. Still, I think that was pretty good. |

out of these 2, I preferred genesis. all the games came in plastic cases that you didnt dare throw away. the SNES games came in carborard boxes that you would want to get trid of after a while. Last edited by Fishpicker; 07-06-2019 at 09:49 PM.. |

Yep. The original Tomb Raider and the first several installments of Resident Evil immediately come to mind. The graphics are horrendous but that can be explained away based on the tech, the controls were just so damned wonky.
I remember the first time you see that zombie in RE and I was like "Ooohhh, my God! It looks so real!" Lol |
