He isn't a dynamic runner, and your main point is correct, in that CEH isn't a power running back, but he isn't Dante Hall and Dexter McCluster. Put on just about any CEH highlight, and there will be a lot of plays where CEH is in the middle of a scrum, still moving the pile.

Yeah - 2023 Fat Clyde (AKA: Clyde Edwards Éclair) was a different animal than previous versions.

He was much sturdier at contact. Not in a Jamaal Charles way where contact balance allowed him to keep moving after contact, but mostly in a mini-Bettis sort of 'physics work' way.

He still has those short/choppy strides so he's solid out of the backfield and he still has good hands. He doesn't have any burst to speak of but he's not pretending like he does anymore.

He's not the guy he was when he was drafted. And while that's trading any ceiling at all for a playable floor, at least the floor is viable now. The ceiling was pretty obviously a pipe dream to begin with.
