Demetrius Harris giving back to his home community again.
https://www.thv11.com/article/news/l...y/91-616433447
JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - Hundreds of families in Jacksonville got an extra boost Tuesday from a hometown hero. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Demetrius Harris grew up in Pulaski County and went to Jacksonville High School. After playing in a huge NFL game Monday night, he came home to hand out free turkeys and hams to people in need. Harris, volunteers, his family, and Officer Tommy Norman all helped give the turkeys and hams away. One hundred turkeys and 100 hams were passed out at both the Jacksonville Boys & Girls Club and McAlmont Community Park. Harris also donated $1,000 to the Boys & Girls Club, which organizers said will definitely be put to good use. This is the second year Harris has given back to his community with a giveaway. |

He really seems to hold those folks in high regard. I hope its not a false start on my part to say he has my admiration.

Been around Harris many times, and will say he is a pretty good dude. He is fun but also unselfish. I am sure he, like everyone his age, likes to have a good time, but he also cares about the people in his community. Clinton McDonald is a mentor of Harris. Clinton graduated from the same high school as Demetrius, and there are few people in this world, more generous or less selfish than Clinton Mcdonald. Definitely a good guy for Harris to be hanging out with, when at home.

I am sure life is incomplete without his friends. I bet he was the first out of the gates to the parking lot early to start his holiday.

I never got the Harris hate. He was an experimental basketball player convert that in my opinion has payed off well.
