Now have fiber optic

They are running it to our house for free. We’ve had satellite for tv and internet for decades. There are so many options for both I have no idea what’s best or cheapest. What are your thoughts?

We now have dish and a local internet provider both on their satellite. So will we just hook the fiber optic to all our tvs and modem and tell dish and the internet people to come get their shit and stop billing us.?

You get to keep those. When my house burned and I called to disconnect my DirecTV, they insisted I return the receiver. After explaining that my house was destroyed by fire 5 times, I told them to send me the return box. Dipshits got to pay 2-way postage for a hunk of metal and melted plastic.

Take them to the scrap yard. Yes they (Dish) will charge you if you don't send back their receiver.

You have to send back the receivers and inside stuff

IF you can seal up the holes, you can set the dish out for a scrapper.

Or advertise the mount on FB, Someone with a weather station may want it.

It was so nice to send the stuff back to Dish a few months ago. A couple months later we received a $4 refund check.

Yesterday I saw a Dish truck driving down our road and I caught myself wondering, who in their right mind is having them install Dish?

DirecTV sent me a debit card with $6.73 on it. I guess I can buy a coffee or something with it.

Yeah, it was definitely a nice feeling sending DTV all their crap back. Too bad they didn't take the dish. The goddamn thing is still attached to the garage. One of these days I'll pay somebody to remove it. Won't be me doing it. After my knee injury, I've got a thing about ladders.

Oddly, AT&T was amazingly cool about me dumping them. It was fairly easy to return the equipment, and they only wanted a few items. The rest went in the trash. I was expecting a **** You For Leaving Us charge, which I've got in the past from companies like Verizon and Sprint, but I actually received a gift card with a couple of hundred bucks on it. I went in expecting them to try to screw me multiple ways, but it didn't happen. It is pretty funny that the best experience I ever had with AT&T was canceling their service.

You get a fiber jack to connect your router/switch for Ethernet and Wifi.

We have had Google fiber for years, 5 stars.

Fiber is great but once in a while it goes wonky. Overall very happy.
