Punta Cana or Aruba?
I earned an incentive trip from the company that I work for and I’m pretty sure I earned it in time to have my choice of the 2 locations. I know very very little about them. The 2 locations I have to chose from are the Ritz Carlton in Aruba and Barcelo Bavaro in Punta Cana. 6 days in Aruba or 7 in Punta Cana. Red carpet package through and through. Middle of May in Punta...middle of June in Aruba.
Have you been to either? Both? Any advice on which I should pick or what I absolutely must do at either location? |

It must be because I’m a cigar guy. The beaches were nice in Aruba.
Second time I went (2005) US customs was in Aruba, rather than having to go through customs when I got home. I will say that going through their customs when you arrive was a much better xp than the DR or Mexico. |

I've never been to either, so I'd recommend taking the place that offers more days.
Congratulations on the award! That's awesome. |

If you want to feel like you can roam around the island safely then aruba. If you want to stay on an all inclusive (and not be told that you're really in a compound surrounded by guards carrying rifles on the rooftops protecting you from being kidnapped) then go to punta Cana. The all inclusives in the D.R. are some of the best tho

If you are a cigar guy, then Punta Cana. For everything else, there’s Aruba.

Maybe it’s because of the times of year I went to Aruba. February 2004 and February 2005 unknowingly during a)their Madris gras and b) Aruba’s something year anniversary. The locals were annoying as hell.
