Yeah, it is what it is.

Hopefully he works out for the Rams. He's a fun talent to watch. Wish it would have worked out here.

Are we supposed to believe that the Chiefs actually called the Raiders or KC's other divisional foes and offered to trade them a top 3 CB??

Use some common sense. This is Chiefs PR spin. There is no way they called the Raiders and would risk playing against him the next 8 years.

And why not call Elway? He might offer you 12 1st round picks, and if he doesn't offer you anything you can tell all of the other teams, "Hey, Elway doesn't want him so that must mean he's good."

Yeah, it would make no sense to call the AFCW teams. Besides, he wanted to go back to Oakland according to what I've read. (Even tho the team is moving to LV?) Seems Oakland would be interested in a very talented, but troubled young CB, who wanted to go there. ESPECIALLY one from the Chiefs.

Either Gruden and the rest know too much about Marcus, or the Chiefs never contacted them.

No, it TOTALLY makes sense to call AFC West teams, especially the Raiders.

What better way to drive the price up than an offer from Peters favorite city and team?

Unfortunately, they and 28 other teams weren't interested.

They talked to the Broncos about Alex, so why is this any different?

Not sure they called everyone but a team had to be living under a rock not to know he was available. People on this board heard he was available a month ago and you believe a GM does not? Now would they have traded him to Denver for just slightly better compensation? doubtful. If Denver was talking a lot better, sure no questions.

I really believe that given the mandate that had to happened they got what they could and there was not a better offer to be had.

It might make it more believable if they didn’t mention that.

I’m supposed to believe they contacted the other teams in their division??? Maybe an Eric Murray but not Peters.

He was never gonna sign a 2nd contract to stay in KC. He won’t have a hometown team to give a team friendly contract to but I bet he ends up a Raider just so he can terrorize the Chiefs twice a year.
All Pros talk often of using slights as motivation. I imagine playing for Vegas would give him all the drive he needs.

I just never imagined him wanting to sign a 2nd contract?

Andy Reid traded McNabb to the Skins when he was with the Eagles. Granted, McNabb was nowhere near the talent Peters is, but was definitely more of a team player. Of course, McNabb wasn't in his first contract either...but he was around Alex Smith's age at the time...and was out of the league within 3 or 4 years, iirc.

Point is, Reid ain't ascured to send a mother****er to a division foe.

He's probably like "doesn't matter, Reek will SMOKE him twice a year even if he DOES wind up with the Faid."

**** Marcus Peters. **** him in his stupid ****ing ass. He is ****ing clown shoes.
