Is there anyone here that can help me interpret lab results?
Just got an email stating my lab results from about 4 days ago are avaliable to view.
I have some questions in regards to what the values mean, and have had very little luck finding information that I'm able to decipher online. And of course my doctors office is closed on Sunday. Anyone with some medical knowledge able to help me out? |

Those results indicate you were infected from running into that AIDS tree.

My guess is if there was something obviously wrong with the results it would have had an accompanying letter or even a phone call.

Im not exactly sure how the medical system works in the U.S. with respect to results. I know in Canada, if the results are good they don’t call you. Its this whole concept of “no news is good news” bullshit. I never agreed with that approach. What if the results are lost or misplaced? What if there is a false alarm or misdiagnosis? For those reasons; I take my own initiative to find out what exactly what is going on regardless if the results are good or bad. And its always wise to get a second opinion. The medical system is flawed and lots of doctors screw up. As a patient, I try to compensate as much as possible. |

Assuming you're talking about blood tests, the lab typically also provides the max/min levels for each result, Mr. TLO. Unless you're a vampire, these ranges should appear on the list.
If they don't (and you are not, in fact, a vampire), each result range can be found online. In cases like these, a good stress reliever is duckduckgo. FAX THE PHYSICIAN AND WINNER OF THE 2019 HOME REPAIR MERIT BADGE |
