Their time was over a long time ago. Fantastic catalog. One of my faves ba k when I was a teenager.
Once saw the open for Bob Dylan. Not kidding. It was in San Francisco big park where they have all the concerts. |

Man, end of an era. Icons deserve to go out on their own terms.
Sad I never got to see them live. |

They were in KC way back when I was 15 or 16 and wish I would have seen them live back then.... they were in Phoenix at the end of last year (and they play in Vegas a lot), but the cheapest tickets were like $600/each and dude's like 75.

And I guess if you scream the lyrics loud enough, who cares what they sound like. But yeah, I wonder how much say Aerosmith has in that pricing or if it's taken care of for them and they're just happy to rake in the money because people are willing to pay. Hell, I caught Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox 20 (two separate concerts) last year and neither were more than like $60... but, some of these like Aerosmith or paying $1k for Fleetwood Mac is just insane. Some of those bands from 40+ years ago aren't even the same people anymore, you're more or less watching a cover of the original. |

The Toys in the Attic album was a huge part of my teenage years.

Aerosmith had been stealing people's money for years with subpar performances. Tyler's voice must be really bad if they called it quits.

I saw them in 1975 Memorial Hall KCK the Toys in the Attic tour. They were pretty damn uninspired going through the motions. They couldn't reproduce the sounds from the album on stage. That was rare in that era. Never saw them in concert or bought another album of theirs. I had friends who went to other concerts of theirs and thought they were one of the better live bands on par with the Stones. Everyone has a bad night I suppose. I never gave them a second chance.
