Rocksmith Thread

Trying to learn guitar via Rocksmith again.

Have the 1/4” cable and this, but I’m missing the part that adapts this to USB.

Thoughts.

What’s This Cord/Adapter?

Hard to see the pins, but it looks like an S-video cable.

EDIT: Nope, I’m wrong. It’s not anything common.

It's some form of Mini DIN, similar to the PS-2 keyboard/mouse plugs. Can you provide a straight on view? Info on the number of prongs?

Here's a 4-pin for reference, which looks close, but hard to tell from the view provided.

That L-shaped key in the center suggests it's a proprietary mini-din for a particular application.

It's a special cord that is made only by Rocksmith. (I've used Rocksmith for several years now)

Based on the Rocksmith forum, I think this might work for you: https://www.amazon.com/Wired-Control.../dp/B0055464UQ

And if you didnt already know this - if you're playing Rocksmith on your computer, there are mods that allow you to play just about any song you've ever wanted to play.

hit me up if you want that info...

I downloaded the Remastered version for my Xbox One X, but just got an Asus Mini PC. May go that route as well.

And I’m definitely not paying $3/song.

Done! - Also, I forgot to mention, there's a program you can download (free also), which will load up all your Rocksmith songs (normal and modded DLC), and will display the tabs (the tabs Rocskmith uses in the game) for each!

Just search for the Rocksmith Realtone cable adapter. It converts signal from analog to digital. It also splits signals for multiplayer. Not sure if proprietary I think some Dac's and mixers use it. It can be found on eBay for 5 to 10 bucks.
