But man, Richard Simmons was one of a kind... Sad that he kinda went into hiding the last several years of his life. He was always great on Letterman, and all the other talk shows back in the day. And his story really was inspiring. He was the "fat kid" who ate his feelings, and I'm sure being young and gay during that time was something that tortured him for years until he was finally able to push back against his demons and accept himself for who he was. Always came across as a genuinely funny, loving gentle man who while sensitive, knew how to give and take a good joke. He'll be missed. RIP.

I do not blame Richard for wanting to have a private life during his last years before his death

The show was “Whose Line is it Anyway?” An improv show I think late 90s, early 00s.

Fun fact. "Whose Line is it Anyway" has been airing on the CW for like 10+ years at this point with the exact same core cast of actors and Aisha Tyler instead of Drew Carey as host, along with some new 4th chairs like Keegan Michael Key and Gary Anthony Williams. They just don't advertise it for shit so basically no one knows it's a thing. Also pretty sure it's about to end for the same reasons above.

That show is funny and I like the people who are on it. But after a while you start noticing that 50 percent of the jokes are about gay stuff, and it gets a little cringy.
