Season predictions thread
3 weeks from today we start the season hanging our banner. Now that FA and the draft is over every team is set.
Who are we playing in the Championship game and who are we playing in the SB? Let’s see what everyone thinks so we can come back to this in 4 months |

I'm gonna go with a similar season to the 2022 season. 13/14 wins. Division won't be very good so should end up with the 1 seed.

12-13 wins always a brain fart here and there and we tend to sleep walk through a few games even though our schedule is a bit easier than last couple years .

As I’ve said since the PITT game in 2018
“As long as Patrick Mahomes is the QB of this franchise: The floor for this team is the AFCCG. Anything above that is icing. |

Also, a reminder. It’s not going to be easy. Expect a few setbacks along the way. It happens.

vs. BAL: L
vs. CIN: L @ ATL: W @ LAC: W vs. NOR: W @ SF: L @ LVR: W vs. TB: W vs. DEN: W @ BUF: W @ CAR: W vs. LVR: W vs. LAC: W @ CLE: L vs. HOU: L @ PIT: W @ DEN: W 12-5. Probably good enough for the 1st/2nd seed. In the AFCCG, I'll guess our opponent will be NYJ We'll play TB in the SB. |

It's a given we're going to lose some games, and if we're going to lose, it'll probably be vs. the better teams, so BAL and CIN are more probable than say DEN and LVR. And I think that the offense will be a little clunky early while Andy figures out exactly how to integrate our new receivers, especially as Brown won't be available the first couple weeks. Also, at the beginning of the season Spags will be working out how to replace Sneed, he calls a lot of base through the first 4-6 weeks of the season, and gets progressively more exotic as the season wears on. So I expect opponents will be able to score more on KC in the first half of the season. I think TB will be sneaky good this year. They have a solid roster, with a defense that ranked in the top-10 last season and might have improved personnel-wise, and an upgrade at OC in Liam Coen. Also, Baker has experience in this system, so he should improve upon last year's performance. They'll win the NFC-S, get into the playoffs, and should be a dark horse to win the NFC. |
