Best truly wireless earbuds

I'm talking sound and comfort. I've tried the Apple Airpods v2 and the Galaxy Buds from Samsung Gear. The Airpods are more comfortable and have a richer sound. The Galaxy Buds have a cleaner sound but aren't very good for long term listening as my ears became sore after a couple hours.

Both of them had issues with connection when walking outdoors, at least in my neighborhood. Not sure if its a problem with the earbud or the all the signals outside in my neighborhood. I used both earbuds on three different phones with the same results so I know its not the phone.

Just curious what others use for completely wireless earbuds. Again, comfort and sound are most important to me.

I gave up on earbuds years ago. They always hurt my ears, they fall out constantly, I can never get them snug in my ear canal to maximize noise cancellation.

I realize this is quite the opposite of what you asked but I specifically chose to walk around with noise cancelling over the ear headphones. Get the best of all worlds. Rich bass, clear mids/highs, I don't hear anything else, and others get the idea that I am not available for conversation.

I get that, wired is obviously the best option. I just don't want cans on my head and all that.

I bought these.

Wireless Earbuds Bluetooth Headphones, True Wireless Earbuds Bluetooth 5.0 Earphones Stereo Hi-Fi Sound Deep Bass Bluetooth Headset with Wireless Charging Case for Gift https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SLY6FBG..._y.Y1DbJAN71ZA

They’re not the best sound but pretty good for earbuds.

I use these

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FGFNP48/ref=dp_prsubs_2

I use them several hours per day, both on the train and at the office. I won't say the sound is great, but it's good enough. Battery life is excellent; I basically charge them at night and they're good to go for hours the next day. And I like the idea of them being secure around my neck; I don't trust those single ear models not to fall out, nor do I trust myself not to lose them. I also like being able to remove the bud, push a button and have the cord immediately wind back into the housing.

One negative - don't fold them. The hinges suck and wear out fast if you do.

I've tried at least 10 different brands, my Samsung Galaxy Buds are my favorite. If you dont like those I can't help you. I have a buddy that swears by the JBL buds, and I know the Jabra Elite 65t's are by far the most popular but I didn't have a good experience with them.

Trying the Liberty Air 2 now. Quite a few sites were comparing then to the Apple Airpod Pro. Gotta say, I'm pretty impressed so far. They have a feature in the app called Hear ID that runs each ear through a series of sounds to determine the best EQ for you. I'm getting a very rich sound out of them after that. I'll see how my walk goes with them tomorrow.

I don't have any suggestions for you but I will say that I am pretty happy with my Galaxy Buds. Bought them refurb for $99 on Amazon. The one issue was the software. I had to delete my network settings to get the sound volume up to par. Reading online this is a common issue.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I finally found my Kick-Ass winner.

Anker Liberty 2 Pro

By far the best sounds in the low mid and high ranges. And you actually feel the bass with these. Highly recommend these if anyone is looking into Bluetooth buds.
