I'm looking forward to the vigorous "why is it racist?" debate in DC.

Yeah, and God forbid we have anyone who isn't an avowed liberal anywhere near the mass media.

I like how the show's long term viewership damn near cut in half from its premier. People watched it and were like, "oh yeah, i forgot this wasn't really funny..."

That's what I had heard, it was really popular at the outset but fell off...she probably did this to generate controversy and ratings, and basically ****ed up...who knows.

I never watched the new one, so I don't know if it was any good or not.

I watched one episode, and found it to be horrible. On top of them being a bunch of ****ed up trailer trash (reminded me of my ex-wife's family on steroids), it seemed to have poor production values, the laughs were forced, and it seemed that most of the actors were phoning it in. In short, it seemed like a bunch of people trying to pick up on stuff they did 20 years ago and having 20 years of rust to shake off.

Same here. Never cared for the show much at all outside of occasional stops while channel surfing.
