State of the defense

Ok, everyone knows Sutton needs to go. Aside from that, what defensive players are you comfortable keeping around for the foreseeable future?

I have Peters, Berry, Ragland, Jones, Houston ($$$?), Nelson

KPL has done well but is a free agent. Parker and Bailey are not going to be around much longer.

Guys like K Pass and Alighwe are unknowns

DJ, Hali, and Ford are goners.

We have a lot of work to do in defense

The defense ****ing sucks.. Couldn't even stop the Titans without Murray... Titans actually should have scored more. We are lucky Mariota is so inaccurate and their WRs suck.

A reboot on defense spells bad news. But then again...how much worse can a defense get?

I like Parker but he looks done tbh. He has really taken a step back this year.

The Chiefs defense is old, slow and predictable.

All three of those issues must be addressed in the offseason.

Knees, Achilles, and cancer. He hasn't played a whole lot more than Dee Ford the last 5 years. I keep hearing "when Berry's back" but the truth is they have played as much without as with him. Berry getting old as well, not TB old but to the age that detractors will use it against him.

The defense is a mess. Getting gashed for 156 yards mostly after getting a huge lead is just inexcusable. Mariota was not going to beat you through the air if you just stop the run. The 3rd down and long on the first drive when we had them pinned down with a long field would have been the game. Of course that whole drive was a cluster**** but that play would essentially become the defensive theme during their comeback.

We had zero toughness.

MM had some terrible throws and drops. You take those away, and this D would have gotten shredded the whole game like they did the 2nd half. This D is one of the very worst in the league.

Andy Reid was successful in Philly when he had top 10 Ds under Jim Johnson. You give this team a top 10 D and it is the best team in the league. I think it's going to take pressure from Hunt to get rid of Sutton. Reid is loyal to a fault.

And if the problem isn't Sutton, but is the players, then there is a huge job ahead for Veach.
