I'm not sure I agree with you on a couple names on your list. What criteria are you using?

my gut feeling.
a few of these on the list fall in the forrest gump character assessment. a few of these i think were overpaid too soon. good character traits, but don't have that 'im gonna take this team to the next level'. the biggest flop will be murray/jackson. their brains could hide behind the shadow of a snow pea |

People said Mayfield was going to bust...and that Mahomes was a project.
One thing Murray has that they both possess also is that "it" element. He may well flame out but like the two mentioned before, he's accurate. I'd never draft a QB that wasn't accurate in college.. |

what do you mean by 'bust'?
do you mean if they're not a top 5 elite QB, then they're a bust? Or do you mean that a perennial starter that never quite reaches elite level equals bust? Because Wentz and Goff have already cleared the mediocre hurdle. I don't think Murray is a successful NFL QB either. His interviews lead me to believe he's a ****ing moron, and that's not going to make for a quality NFL QB. Not in this day and age. But the rest? I see a lot of middling starters. Not quite busts; not quite elite. Mahomes and then a distant second is Mayfield. A step below that is Goff, Wentz and MAYBE Watson. |

Darnold might be alright and Goff went to the Superbowl last year and he was alright. I would scratch those two off and agree with the rest.

goff was a hard one for me to put on this list, but it's my gut feeling. it was like when the ravens went to the super bowl with dilfer (yes goff is better than dilfer, but the comparison sticks ) |

I swear to the gods, y'all on this board are the most emotional-reaction mother****ers I've ever (not)met. At any point in time, there are about 5 elite NFL QB's. Some guys climb on the list, some guys fall off the list in any given year. The truly elite stay there for most of their careers. Your Payton Manning's, your Brady's, your Rodgers. Marino, Montana, Elway, etc., etc. Some guys climb into that group for a year or two: Your Flacco's, your Matt Ryan's, what have you. You haven't busted if you rolled the dice in round one and came up with an upper third QB. Those guys, with the right supporting cast, can get you a ring. You've busted if you rolled the dice and that guy doesn't help you get there. There are really only a couple per generation of the truly special. Brady. P. Manning. Rodgers Montana. Elway. And we have one. It makes everything, all the heartache, all the pain and loss worth it. |

Alex Smith might be the smartest QB in the world...and didn't win anything. He collapsed when shit got real. Fitzpatrick is a Harvard grad.. There is another element at play... that isn't as easy to discern... Favre was a reerun...but a bad-ass, clutch QB. The football gods work in mysterious ways...
