Mahomes is like super smart

I read he had a 4.0 GPA his first year at Tech, then a 3.91 GPA his second year, and then a 3.64 as a Business Marketing Major. He was the academic Big 12 Scholar Athlete of the year.

Good at everything he does.

That puts to rest any question about his intelligence even though he only got a 24 on his Wonderlic.

You don't revolutionize the position of QB by running around like Lamar or Josh, no matter how much the media tries to sell them because they're exciting.

You do it with brains like Brady, Montana and Mahomes all did.

He's scored a 3.1 on Super Bowls and that's the only score I give a shit about.

Not really, but opposing fans have said he's just a backyard QB before and have cited his wonderlic has being very avg for a QB. I think this should shut them up.

GPA is work ethic, not intelligence. Having said that, if anyone thinks he's a dummy, then they should take a look in the mirror.

I don't think I've ever heard anybody bring up his Wonderlic score until this thread. I had no idea what it even was.

I think there has been a stigma with him since day one that he wins with all talent, much like Lamar and Allen. Not necessarily to the fans here, but to the outside world I think many of them see him in that way.

Anyone who has actively followed him fully understands he's just as smart as he is physically skilled, if not more so.

In high school yeah, but if you are stupid you simply just won't be able to succeed very well in college. Maybe you can just barely skate by but Mahomes GPA super high. I bet if he knew he wasn't going to be an NFL player it wouldn't have even dropped his JR year. He was focused on the prize.

If you read opposing fan's message boards, past youtube comments etc you would be surprised. Hasn't really been brought up in a couple years but it was mentioned by some fan bases.

Ryan Fitzpatrick scored the highest Wonderlic score ever for a QB… 48.

Vince Young scored the lowest… 6.

Mahomes being a football savant is what makes his athletic ability work so well for him.

Alex Smith was faster but a far shittier playmaker when ad libbing.

Mahomes knows precisely when to run...and if he ****s up his arm is usually a get out of jail free card.

I remember hearing on grudens qb camp that mahomes has insane memory about playcalling. Something he doesn’t say often. I also remember the Netflix show quarterback and how much damn time mariota and cousins spent on just memorizing play calls and none of the time for mahomes. Maybe mahomes had way more interesting stuff and it wasn’t necessary to include on the show . But I kinda get the sense he doesn’t spend nearly as much time as those guys do on it because he doesn’t have to.
