Wow, zilla posted about this in the LRZ thread and I thought it was just in regards to speculation from fans, so I was dismissive.

My bad zilla! (See how easy that is? )

All good. And for the record the hope is to keep butker fresh to do what he does best which is field goals. If you can delegate this without wasting a roster spot on a specialist it's super intriguing. It seems to me that the kicking position will evolve to where the actual kicking is pretty easy but the coverage is the tougher part.

Genius, no wonder they jumped all over this guy the instant that rule change was passed. When we say that Veach is playing 4D chess, it's not an exaggeration. It's forward thinking, brilliant moves like this that keep this team one step ahead. I mean with these new rules, having an extra body who can actually tackle is going to be huge.

Brett is a nice man and I like him was my general point.

I do wonder if kickoffs help Butker stay ready and not tighten up? Taking him off kickoffs could also have a huge negative impact.

I doubt it. They train on the sideline and have kicking nets.

One would also assume he's tough enough to make a tackle here or there.

Yeah that's true. Fortunately we have an offense that will keep him plenty busy with FGs and xps
