Think I might be pretty content to churn and burn at WR until this market flattens out.

And I say this as someone that REALLY likes Nico Collins. But with his health issues, they're paying him like he will be healthy and produtive when he simply never has.

He could very easily play to that figure - don't get me wrong. But you're now paying him as a top 10 WR - there's a lot of projection in that decision.

They're smart. Pay the guys as much as it takes, try to win before Stroud needs $300M

They’re in a really good window right now. Pretty much all of their best players are on rookie contracts so they can afford to do this

A whole lotta money just to lose to Mahomes and the Chiefs in the playoffs.

If the Texans were in the NFC they'd be a contender but alas

You do have to consider the possibility that Stroud has a bit of a sophomore slump. It happens more often than it doesn't.

But they sure do look to have a 4-6 year window before Stroud's number gets too stout. That's an eternity.

Still - Mahomes is the wall that they'll all crash against. I don't expect he'll break...

Almost all teams thar do what the Texans did last year, take a step back in year 2.

It's going to be people wondering what happened and how Jacksonville won that division come January.

I’m just glad we didn’t lose CJ95 to them.

Collins is a good player, but a liability due to accumulation of injuries. If I’m them, I probably overpay a little too.

I don’t see that, at all.

They are strong at most of the Pilar spots.

Good young franchise QB
3 good WRS
Really good OTs
2 very good RBs
A young stud pass rusher
A very talented young secondary
A strong LB group and a LB HC that should be able to get the most from them.

I think Houston is going to be what the media wanted the Bengals to be.
