Drafting Offensive Line
I was told it wasn't necessary. Draft them in the 6th and 7th round and pick up the rest off the bargain bin in free agency. O-Line doesn't matter when you have Mahomes.

Now do you guys understand?

This. Best player available with need as a tiebreaker or slight multiplier.

Never pass on a great player for a need.

3 starring OL were injured. 1 starting OL opted out. 1 rookie with starting RT and maybe even starting LT opted out.

Sure, I haven’t read any posts besides the starter, but obviously OL matters.

It’s not like we didn’t have good players, but they were hurt and didn’t play.

Draft wise?? LT 1st round. RT 2-4 OG/C 3-undrafted. Sure, there’s exceptions and sometimes a failed first round LT gets converted and becomes the best G.

I don’t doubt we need to invest in OL, but I don’t think the OL problems were because we didn’t, it’s because of injury and opt outs.

Pretty much this. No team goes two deep with starting quality OL. It would honestly be a waste of resources to do so anyway.

The “Veach doesn’t care about OL” crowd sounds a lot like the “Veach doesn’t care about CB” crowd from 2 years ago.

The Chiefs have had 2 Starting Left Tackles, 4 Starting Right Tackles, 4 Starting Left Guards, 4 Starting Right Guards and 2 Starting Centers this season.

Most teams are lucky if they can go Two-Deep on the Offensive Line but the Chiefs went Four-Deep at three positions and Two-Deep at two positions.

Losing Fisher was the backbreaker.
