So who's the surprise cut and who's the camp darling?

This question has to be asked because usually both happen...

Camp darling is probably Gehrig Dieter since I've already seen that brewing around here.

Surprise cut.. I'll say Sorenson probably West too actually.

Over the cap shows that his base salary is $1,720,782 and it's fully guaranteed.

Ryan Hunter leaves camp as the starting LG.

McGloin is cut for Litton, who actually looks like an NFL QB in camp.

Wow! I guess that's right. So his full contract was guaranteed? Is that common? I thought that Cousins contract was the first ever that was fully guaranteed

He's still on his rookie deal. Rookie deals are guaranteed.

DAT not getting cut would be the surprise. Only way he makes the team is an injury to someone who is ahead of him on the depth chart, or if Conley is traded.

I really don't see KPass getting cut. They would be moving on too quickly. He should, and I think that he will, her this season to prove himself.

This makes sense. Not sure DAT would be a surprise cut to anyone on CP. But outside of CP, yeah....

Maybe Ehinger? If he can't win a starting gig this year and is still sitting behind Brian Witzmann, then WTF is the point? And we know that Reid is loathe to change the starting lineup on his OL apart from injury.

So if Ehinger can't break camp as a starter and Khalil McKenzie shows he's a capable backup, I could see Ehinger getting axed.
The more I think about it, the more I think the Chiefs want to use Ehinger as the backup OT. If Fisher goes down, Schwartz shifts over and Ehinger comes in at RT. Ehinger can also fill in at G.

Witzmann was primarily an OT in college at South Dakota St., but I have no clue if he's taken ANY practice snaps for any team at OT since entering the league.

Unless Witzmann is just that much better than Ehinger or if he outright wins the starting LG job, I think he's gonna be the cut.

Maybe if they got a good trade offer? But outside of that, yeah I don't see that either.
