Not sure what the Covid years have anything to do with stealing 1.5 million dollars worth of wings.

I doubt the verdict could get overturned with someone essentially bribing them to set her free.

There are way too many questions, and the guy in that video in the OP looks like a douche who wants you to SMAAAAASH that like button and be sure to subscribe for more!

There's got to be more to this story, but the fact that they tried and convicted a 64 year old black woman for this tells me it was more than just some mistake on her part. I don't know what Chris Jones is paying for, but it's not to get her out of jail. It must be to pay back the school for their loss.

It's not even that. She didn't turn anyone else in, and they said they don't know where the wings actually went. To pull this off, she almost certainly needed the help of multiple people and many, many restaurants. The math comes out to 19 cases a day, which is absurd. You aren't selling that many wings to Dave's Dive Bar down the street.

The people investigating are far more interested in the organization behind all of this and who bought the stolen goods which, if you didn't know, is also wildly illegal. Restaurants can't just buy food from random people off the street. So the prosecutor dumped other charges on top to try and get her to give up the more important people but she refused to budge. That's why she got charged with being the head of a criminal enterprise. I'm sure that charge would go away if she said who was actually in charge, but without anyone else then I guess she must be the kingpin behind it.
