I wonder if the Bengals kicker McPherson will get a similar deal to Butker. McPherson is in the last year of his rookie deal. He has been very clutch for them in big moments. From Wikipedia:

“During the Bengals' 2021 playoff run, McPherson tied Adam Vinatieri for most field goals made in a single postseason, with 14, and set the record for most postseason field goals made without any misses.”

The bigger problem is that there are idiots like Matt Lane who think the chiefs overspent. I couldn’t disagree with Butker more and I think he’s a steal at twice the price.

This is the best thing I've read about this subject in a while. Thx for posting.

That should take priority over both spouses working.

So glad you resurrected this from page two to make these really good points. We might crack this thing yet!

Yup. I have mentioned it before but Butker has never missed a FG that was a “must make” in the postseason in his career.

:13 second game? Wouldn’t matter had Butker missed. Mahomes epic scramble/15 yard ROTP penalty in the AFCCG against Cincy? Means nothing if Butker missed the game winning FG. This last SB? The SF kicker makes the longest FG in SB history. Then Butker turns around and breaks that record. That FG quite possibly was the difference in that SB.

The crazy part is that he’s not making chip shot FGs either. These are relatively long FGs. He is easily one of the most important keys to the three SB wins along with Mahomes, Kelce, and Jones. He is absolutely worth his contract.

Harrison, just play football and stop giving interviews. Why am I seeing you on ESPN opening your kicker mouth again? lol

Can't believe they don't include the longest SB in history, if not other playoff long ones too.

And don't give me that regular season BS. We're a franchise that is now especially proud of the postseason.

What was it during the Chargers game in 20 or 21 where he made 3 straight fgs from 55 or something ridiculous.
