Danan Hughes said it was a bad route. I haven’t rewatched it closely enough to confirm, but I’ll assume that it correct.
If it was not a bad route, then it seems like one of those plays where if he catches it, we say “great catch”. If he drops it, we say “you gotta catch that”.
Not the easiest catch in the world by any means, but also far from impossible for an NFL receiver.
