As previously mentioned, Ron Howard is known as an "Actor's Director", so I'm sure that KK expects Howard to get the best from all of his actors, including Alden Ehrenreich.
I don't think they can even spin it as "reshoots" any longer, considering Howard's been filming since the first week of July (10 weeks) with no apparent end in sight.

Of course it's a reshoot Dane -- a page one reshoot, but a reshoot nonetheless.
