I know these basic stats don't tell you everything about a QB, but from my eyes, Rivers was more talented than either but Manning could pull some god damn magic out of his ass and Aikman was the most average quarterback that had all-time great talent all around him. Steve DeBerg could've won a super bowl with those Cowboy teams.
Manning shouldn't get in and neither should Philip Rivers.

Yeah, it's tough to grade QBs that played 15+ years apart.. the style of play and the rules, not to mention the skill/size of the players changes so much across the decades.
The current era of FA started in 1993 and has changed the way teams are built, those mid 90s teams and back to the 80s and 70s... could stockpile talent. That doesn't happen anymore.
Aikman played 12 seasons and was the QB for one of the most stacked and talented teams ever. Troy only won 8 or more games in 5 of those 12 seasons. And, he only threw for more than 18 TDs twice and they had crazy talent... plus Smith. Granted, many QBs in the 70s - early 90s were not piling up massive TDs, few if any Cowboys' fans can point to more than 2 games where they say "Man, Troy won that for us, he is phenomenal."
You can do all sorts of things with the stats... but, because he was 'good' and on that team with 3 rings, you knew he was getting in to the HOF.
