just got out of Sicario 2 and holy shit, if you liked the 1st one, this one will be right up your alley (it focuses more on Del Toro's character since Emily Blunt isn't in it). Probably my favorite film of the year so far and definitely a worthy sequel . Highly recommend seeing this one this theaters.

Just saw it. It was a step or so under the first one, most sequels are like that, but I definitely still enjoyed it. Brolin and Del Toro both are fantastic in it.

The two parts that dropped it down for me were when Cathleen Keener's character orders Del Toro to be executed (they would never wipe an asset with his abilities and the relationship he had with Matt), and then when Alejandro not only survives getting shot through the face, but makes it back to America wounded like that after being disavowed and no support. Still, really, really good, though.

Thought it was great but maybe one of you two can answer something for me.

Why did he put the tracker in the girls shoe? He didn't have a way of tracking that did he? He knew the Americans would be able to track it though. That was the reason he had it. Or maybe I am misunderstanding. I also wondered why everyone in Mexico wanted the girl dead? She was the daughter of a crime lord right? I would think she would be valuable to anyone and everyone.
