AVGN does suck now that he's with Screenwave Media. Hell I don't even think I'm subscribed anymore. All of the original guys from the channel like Kyle Justin, Bootsy, and now even his main partner Mike Matei is gone. Now he's in some really cringeworthy rock band.
Once it became a career and not a passion, it went downhill very quickly. It was pretty noticeable around the time he began working on the AVGN movie. Which was a really crappy movie.
