I really don’t know what was going on in the guy’s head. He’s a ****ing hoss. He takes hits from linemen and linebackers multiple times per game and doesn’t shy away from contact. He’s obviously not a pussy.
I feel like, maybe, he thought the people diving for the ball would cause it to squirt backfield more and he’d have a better chance of falling on it there.
Either way, again, diving head first into a scrum like that is super dangerous.
