I think the more pressing factor was this game being fairly in hand throughout most of the day, and Mahomes already performing well on the day.
Nothwithstanding his impressive development already, if he'd made that same mistake and the Jags stayed with us, or even won the game, there'd be less forgiveness.
When players are performing well, you have to shake off the brainfarts you can afford to. Regardless of the stature of the player, if you dwell on single stupid plays despite overall quality play, you are ****ing with their mojo.
