Kind of useless to just keep one, it was keeping size, but I would have needed two or three of the same size to make a decent meal. Big Trout in that little lake though, somebody caught a 13 pounder over the Summer...

Lake gets stocked over the Summer as well, so they are a lot easier to catch on dough baits...especially after they stock it. Using dough bait they always swallow it, and Trout being somewhat delicate, you have to keep those fish or they would die otherwise. Kind of mindless fishing if you ask me, it's much more challenging catching them on lures, and you have the option of releasing them. I do eat them from time to time, they are pretty dang good.

I usually target Bass up there, and that was what I was actually going for when I landed that Rainbow, but being an Alpine lake at high elevation, the Largemouth stay relatively small, I always release those...I just like catching them.
