He did take some hits, but there were times when he bailed out of the pocket too early as well. He noted it himself last season and said he needed to work on it. Or rather, I think he said he
would work on it. it also bears repeating that when he did settle down things got easier for him and he was more efficient after that. One of the more obvious examples was the week 10 game last year when he didn't run around (per mother's order?), and he threw for 446? He stayed in and manipulated the pocket, didn't drift back 15 yards and was extremely efficient.
I think it really comes down to the fact that it's just very early in the season still, and even Pat isn't quite in mid-season form. He knows it, and he'll square that shit up over the next week or so.
