1) There's your first problem, right there; "Reid took". All Reid needs to do is convey to Big Dorse any special attributes he might be looking for outside of the known and established paradigm for the Chief's current WCO.

2) They don't always pan out. But KC's ace scouting team combined with personal workouts, interviews, and a grind or two through the ol' Decision Lens algorithm should smooth that process right on out, delivering to Reid the best possible prospect for developmental purposes.
And you can't let him ride the pine with clipboard in hand for too long. The sooner you get him in the mix with the #1's, the faster you can tell if he's going to mature and develop in to the player you're hoping he will be.
